Police Water Units Participate in Vistula Rescue Operation as 25-Year-Old Woman Safely Evacuated

Following reports of a sinking boat on the Vistula River near Nowy Duninów on Tuesday afternoon, police water units and local firefighters successfully rescued an uninjured and sober 25-year-old woman.

Emergency Call Regarding a Sinking Boat on the Vistula

Police water officers from the Płock Municipal Police Headquarters participated in a rescue operation on the Vistula River following a report about a sinking boat near Nowy Duninów. A woman aboard the vessel was safely evacuated by firefighters from the Nowy Duninów Volunteer Fire Department (OSP).

On Tuesday, July 28 at around 1:30 PM, the duty officer at the Płock Municipal Police Headquarters received a report regarding a sinking boat on the Vistula River in the Nowy Duninów area. The information indicated that a woman was approximately 100 meters from the shore and faced potential danger.

Successful Rescue and Safety Assessment

Police water units from the Płock Municipal Police Headquarters and other emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. The 25-year-old woman was pulled from the water by OSP Nowy Duninów firefighters, sustained no injuries, required no medical assistance, and a breathalyzer test confirmed she was sober.

The sunken boat was towed and pulled out of the water. Thanks to the rapid and coordinated action of the services, the incident ended successfully, and the woman’s life is not in danger.
