The parade, officially designated as a military parade, will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026. This date marks both the Polish Armed Forces Day and the 106th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw.

Central celebrations organized under the slogan “Polska SAFE – Safe Poland” will begin in the morning with religious and state ceremonies, but the passage of military columns will be the most spectacular point of the celebrations.

Drivers and public transport passengers should check the latest announcements before traveling. The organization of the event will involve the closure of part of Wisłostrada and access streets, with detailed disruptions possibly introduced even before August 15.

What Time is the 2026 Polish Armed Forces Parade?

The parade on Warsaw’s Wisłostrada will begin on August 15 at 12:00 PM. This time has already been confirmed in the official program of the Ministry of National Defense. Those who want to watch the event directly along the route should arrive earlier, as the most attractive spots fill up long before the parade starts.

What Will the Route of the Military Parade in Warsaw Be?

The main part of the parade will take place on Warsaw’s Wisłostrada. The detailed route has not yet been given, but it can be assumed it will be similar to last year’s, running from north to south along Wisłostrada. The military marched and drove from the Warsaw Citadel area, then along Wybrzeże Gdańskie towards the Old Town and the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge.

The most important, representative fragment was located near the Multimedia Fountain Park in Podzamcze. Honorary tribunes and media positions were set up on Wybrzeże Gdańskie, between Sanguszki and Boleść streets, where the main presentation of subunits and equipment took place.

What Will We See During the Military Parade?

This year’s parade is set to showcase soldiers from all branches of the Polish Armed Forces as well as the most modern equipment in the army’s inventory. Representatives of allied forces will also participate in the ceremonies, with Abrams and K2 tanks, Borsuk combat vehicles, HIMARS launchers, and Apache helicopters expected on Wisłostrada.

Viewers will be able to compare equipment used by the Polish Armed Forces for years with gear acquired during the recent modernization of the army. Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces Gen. Wiesław Kukuła emphasized that the parade is meant to show the ongoing transformation of the Armed Forces and the use of funds allocated for their modernization.

Polish F-35 “Husarz” over Warsaw

A major event will be the display of Polish F-35 “Husarz” aircraft. The fighters are scheduled to present themselves during the aerial part of the parade, alongside F-16 “Jastrząb” jets. The flight of the newest military helicopters, including Black Hawk, AW-149, and Apache machines, has also been announced.

The aviation section is traditionally one of the most anticipated elements of the event, but its execution depends on weather conditions. The air rehearsal took place along the Vistula River from north to south, with aircraft best visible from the Żoliborz and Old Town areas.

General Nominations During the Ceremony

The Polish Armed Forces Parade in 2026 will also have a special ceremonial dimension. As announced by Deputy Minister of National Defense Paweł Bejda, for the first time during the celebrations, general and admiralty nominations will be presented before the honorary tribune.

Military Zone in the Warsaw Citadel

The parade will not be the only attraction prepared in Warsaw. From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, an open educational and cultural zone will operate in the Warsaw Citadel, where visitors can see military equipment up close, talk with soldiers, and listen to military bands. A combined broadcast of the Warsaw parade and the naval parade in Gdynia will be shown on large screens.

Naval Parade in Gdynia as Part of the Celebrations

Parallel to the events in Warsaw, a naval parade will be organized in Gdynia starting on August 15 at 11:30 AM. Kościuszko Square is designated as the best place to observe it.

More than 20 units of the Polish Navy and allied forces will sail in a special formation, including frigates, corvettes, mine destroyers, as well as hydrographic and rescue units. A display of naval aviation and special machines, such as the unique SAAB 340 aircraft used for airspace monitoring, is also planned.
