POLMED Chamber Elects New Leadership for 2026-2029 Term

During the General Assembly held on June 17, 2026, in Józefów, the POLMED Chamber elected a new nine-member Board, appointing Piotr Zawirski as its Chairman for the 2026–2029 term.

New Leadership and Strategic Priorities

The newly elected Board, led by Piotr Zawirski (Aspironix Polska, Systamed), will oversee the organization’s strategic direction. POLMED President Arkadiusz Grądkowski will continue to support the implementation of the objectives established by the new leadership.

The transition occurs at a critical juncture for the medical device sector. The industry faces significant challenges, including the implementation of MDR and IVDR regulations, the need for improved assessment and financing of medical technologies, healthcare digitalization, and expanding patient access to modern devices.

Industry Representation and Advocacy

POLMED currently represents 133 member companies, serving as a leading industry organization for nearly 25 years. It maintains a consistent dialogue with public administration, healthcare institutions, and experts to protect the interests of manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.

The Chamber focuses on public procurement, national market development, and fostering a stable regulatory environment. Outgoing Chairman Tomasz Wróbel noted that the organization has nearly doubled its membership during his tenure, underscoring its growing influence as a partner in healthcare policy discussions.

Commitment to Healthcare Sustainability

Piotr Zawirski emphasized that the organization intends to remain a key voice in decision-making processes affecting Poland’s healthcare system. The goal is to provide solutions that balance patient access to technology with a predictable legal framework for entrepreneurs.

President Arkadiusz Grądkowski reaffirmed that the Chamber’s mission is to provide expert knowledge that supports the delivery of safe and effective medical technologies to patients, ensuring that the industry remains an essential participant in the healthcare ecosystem.
