Public Approval of Karol Nawrocki’s Presidency Shows Sharp Polarization

A new IBRiS poll for Polsat News reveals that 51.7% of Poles now view Karol Nawrocki’s presidency favorably, reflecting a significant increase in support since the previous survey conducted in June.

Shifting Public Sentiment

The latest IBRiS survey indicates that Karol Nawrocki maintains a lead in positive ratings over negative ones. A total of 51.7% of respondents evaluate his performance well, with 30.7% stating it is “definitely good” and 21% “rather good.”

Conversely, 38.9% of those surveyed hold a negative opinion of the president’s performance, while 9.3% remain undecided. This result marks a clear improvement from the May-June period, when positive and negative ratings were almost evenly split at 48.1% and 47.9% respectively.

Gender-Based Differences in Opinion

The data highlights varying perceptions between men and women. Among men, 53.2% view Nawrocki’s activities positively, while 34% hold a negative view. In contrast, 50.4% of women rate his performance positively, with 43.2% expressing a negative opinion.

Women were more likely than men to choose definitive responses, opting more frequently for both “definitely good” and “definitely bad” evaluations. Male respondents showed a higher tendency toward moderate opinions or uncertainty.

Partisan Support and Opposition

Support for Nawrocki is heavily tied to party affiliation. Voters from Law and Justice (PiS) show the highest approval at 91.4%, followed by Confederation supporters at 86.1%. Meanwhile, the president faces strong criticism from voters of the Civic Coalition (KO) and the New Left, where negative ratings reach 85.9% and 85.7% respectively.

The political center remains less defined; 48.1% of Third Way voters view the president positively, yet 19.5% of this group have yet to form a clear opinion, marking a significant contrast to the polarized views seen in the core party electorates.

Impact of Previous Electoral Choices

When analyzed by presidential election voting patterns, Nawrocki’s supporters overwhelmingly endorse his current performance at 95.2%. Similarly, voters who supported Sławomir Mentzen and Grzegorz Braun demonstrate high levels of approval.

The most intense criticism comes from voters who supported Adrian Zandberg and Rafał Trzaskowski, with 97.1% and 87.9% negative ratings respectively. Supporters of Szymon Hołowni remain the most divided, with positive and negative scores nearly equal.
