Radom Police Mustang Wrecked After Less Than Four Months in Service

A high-profile Ford Mustang GT, confiscated from a drunk driver and recently integrated into the Radom traffic police fleet, has been involved in a serious collision in Milejowice.

Incident Details and Vehicle Status

The collision occurred on Radomska Street in Milejowice, Radom County, involving one of the region’s most recognizable police cruisers. The Ford Mustang GT had been in service with the Radom traffic department for less than four months, having been officially unveiled at the Automobilklub Radomski on March 17, 2026.

Background of the Confiscated Cruiser

The vehicle’s history garnered significant public attention from the start. It was originally seized from a driver apprehended for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Following a court order, the car was forfeited to the state and handed over to the police, marking the first instance in Poland where a confiscated sports car was marked and deployed as a police vehicle rather than sold.

Circumstances of the Collision

According to the Radom Municipal Police, the incident took place around 12:30 p.m. while the police vehicle was responding to a call. Preliminary findings indicate the Mustang was overtaking vehicles with emergency signals active when it collided with a Volkswagen whose driver was attempting a left turn. The impact forced the Mustang into a property fence and the Volkswagen into a ditch.

Status of Involved Parties

Authorities have confirmed that no one sustained injuries in the crash. Emergency services are currently on-site, and traffic in the area is being managed with alternating lanes while police procedures are conducted.
