Current Status of Baltic Bathing Sites
Vacationers planning a trip to the Baltic Sea are facing significant restrictions as the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate reports that nearly 60 bathing sites are currently closed to the public. Beyond unfavorable weather conditions, the latest safety data has made swimming in these designated zones impossible.
Restrictions in West Pomeranian Voivodeship
Data from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate鈥檚 bathing service indicates that 30 guarded beaches in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship are currently flying red flags. The ban covers locations including Sarbinowo, Ch艂opy, Mielno, D膮bki, and Jaros艂awiec.
Furthermore, in the S艂awno County, water at the Bobolin Zach贸d and Jaros艂awiec Dubaj beaches has been deemed unfit for swimming due to microbiological parameters. Specifically, tests revealed excessive concentrations of Escherichia coli at Bobolin Zach贸d and enterococci at Jaros艂awiec Dubaj.
Closures in Pomeranian Voivodeship
In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, swimming is prohibited at 24 locations, including popular sites in Ustka, Czo艂pino, Karwia, Jastrz臋bia G贸ra, Rozewie, and Cha艂upy. Additionally, beaches in Stegna, Sztutowo, and K膮ty Rybackie on the Vistula Spit have been closed.
Red flags have also been raised at the Brze藕no and Sobieszewo Island beaches in Gda艅sk.
