Search for Missing Polish Tourist in Turkey Ends in Tragedy

A 44-year-old Polish man, missing since June 17 in Kemer, was found dead in a forest complex as local authorities and an international detective team confirmed the discovery of his body.

Discovery of the body

The body was located within a forested area near Kemer. Dawid Burzacki, coordinator of the international detective team, confirmed that all evidence indicates the deceased is Grzegorz K., who had been the subject of an intensive search.

Local Turkish media reported the discovery as well. Official confirmation regarding the identity and the precise cause of death is pending the completion of procedures by local authorities.

According to unofficial reports from Turkish media, the man may have taken his own life. However, these circumstances have not yet been officially confirmed by investigators.

Disappearance on the day of departure

Grzegorz K. was vacationing in Kemer with his parents and brother at the Kimeros hotel. On the morning of June 17, the 44-year-old reportedly stepped out to smoke, returned his room key to his parents, and stated he was going to eat, but never reached the hotel restaurant.

Following the report of his disappearance, local police, private detectives, and journalists joined the search efforts. The family was forced to return to Poland due to their scheduled flight, while the search continued locally until the body was recovered.
