A serious accident took place on Jana Pawła Woronicza Street in Warsaw. On Tuesday, August 11, before 9:00 AM, a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Toyota used for app-based passenger transport. The heavily injured motorcyclist was transported to the hospital.

The incident occurred at number 30 Jana Pawła Woronicza Street. The Toyota driver was traveling from Wołoska Street and intended to turn left into a residential road. At the same time, the motorcyclist was moving along Woronicza Street from Niepodległości Avenue towards Wołoska. While executing the turn, the car driver cut off the motorcyclist’s path, leading to the collision between the Toyota and the Yamaha.

Rescue Operation and Medical Assistance

The fire department, an emergency medical team, and the police were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters secured the accident area and the vehicles involved in the incident.

The motorcyclist sustained the most severe injuries. Paramedics provided assistance on the spot and subsequently transported him to the hospital in critical condition. The motorcyclist is a Polish citizen. Due to his condition, he was removed from the scene without a sobriety test, and blood is to be drawn for further testing.

Investigation and Driver Statement

The Toyota driver, a citizen of Uzbekistan, was sober. At the scene, he explained to police officers that he did not see the approaching motorcyclist during the maneuver because he was blinded by the sun.

Further procedures to determine the exact circumstances of the accident were conducted by police officers. During the rescue operation and the work of emergency services, traffic on Woronicza Street operated in a shuttle system.
