Stabbing Attack at Jastrzębie-Zdrój Hospital; Suspect in Custody

A man attacked individuals with a sharp object at a hospital in Jastrzębie-Zdrój on Thursday, June 25, after 6:00 PM, resulting in police intervention and the arrest of the perpetrator.

Conflicting Reports on Casualty Numbers

The hospital reports that three people were wounded during the incident. Hospital spokesperson Marcelina Kowalewska confirmed that a man forced his way into the facility and injured three individuals.

Unofficial reports suggest the victims include the head of the gastroenterology department, a nurse, and a patient. These details have not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.

Police currently confirm only one injured victim, a member of the medical staff. Staff Sergeant Halina Semik of the Jastrzębie-Zdrój Municipal Police Command told TVN24 that the attacker used a sharp tool against a hospital staff member.

Officers have not disclosed whether the victim is a doctor or a nurse, nor have they provided an update on the victim’s health status. Investigators remain on the scene to determine the exact circumstances of the attack.
