On Monday, June 15, a 44-year-old Russian artist known by the pseudonym Simon Skrepecki was killed in a shooting in Biała Podlaska. The victim, who was known for his criticism of Russian authorities, sustained fatal gunshot wounds to his head and torso.

BBN Demands Security Clarity

The head of the National Security Bureau (BBN) emphasized that Poland must not serve as a venue for foreign state-sponsored operations. He described the situation as grave, stating that the case demands a swift and thorough explanation to ensure national security.

Suspects Detained Near Consulate

Authorities have detained two Belarusian nationals, aged 33 to 37, near the Consulate of the Republic of Belarus in Biała Podlaska. Prosecutors are currently verifying their involvement, and while no formal charges have been filed, further arrests are not being ruled out.
