Tax Office Focuses on Mobile Services
More and more tax matters can be handled without leaving home as the tax administration develops the mobile e-Tax Office. A recent update brings additional conveniences, including new forms, functions for entrepreneurs, and solutions for foundations, associations, and proxies.
Handling tax matters increasingly rarely requires an in-person visit to an office. The tax administration is consistently moving services online, and the mobile e-Tax Office is becoming a primary tool for taxpayer contact with the fiscal authority.
Initially intended mainly for individuals, the app’s capabilities have expanded significantly over time. Currently, businesses, companies, foundations, and associations can use the available services, allowing more formalities to be handled from a smartphone without a computer or office visit.
Ministry of Finance Announces Further Changes
The Ministry of Finance emphasizes that the development of the mobile e-Tax Office is part of a broader public service digitalization program. The app will be systematically expanded with new functions responding to taxpayer needs.
The Ministry notes that the goal is to simplify contacts with the tax administration and shorten the time needed to settle official matters. Consequently, subsequent updates will successively increase the number of online services.
Application Allows Handling More Matters
The mobile e-Tax Office enables quick access to key tax information. Users can check settlements, verify tax refund status, and review the history of submitted declarations.
The application also allows users to send tax declarations, apply for certificates, and receive documents from the tax office securely. These actions do not require a qualified electronic signature, and documents go directly to the tax administration with constant access to case history.
Three New Forms Added to the e-Tax Office
The latest app update introduced three new forms available as convenient wizards that guide the user step-by-step, simplifying document completion and reducing errors.
To submit forms electronically, users must first grant consent for e-Correspondence in the e-Tax Office.
One new document is the ORD-IN form, allowing applications for individual tax rulings. It goes to the National Tax Information, which presents an official stance on a specific factual state or planned event.
The second novelty is the WN-CFR form for obtaining a tax residence certificate. This document is significant for internationally active individuals and businesses, confirming taxation locations and allowing application of double taxation avoidance agreements.
These new forms are available to individuals, entrepreneurs, and their proxies, including tax advisors.
Important Update for Entrepreneurs
One of the most practical solutions introduced is the “Form of taxation” function. It allows entrepreneurs to check the taxation form registered in the National Tax Administration database for their business activity.
The system provides information for the years 2025 and 2026. Users can also directly access the form enabling changes to their taxation form.
The INF-FO statement is intended for individuals conducting business activity, including companies. The document can be submitted personally or via a proxy.
e-Tax Office Available Around the Clock
Electronic tax administration services can be used at any time of day or night. The e-Tax Office operates 24 hours a day, enabling comprehensive tax handling from home.
System access is possible via the podatki.gov.pl website and the mobile application, allowing most formalities to be managed directly from a phone.
