Consolidating State Enforcement Auctions
Starting July 1, 2026, all enforcement sales conducted by tax offices will be published on a single state-run portal. The eLicytacje KAS system aims to simplify access to auctions for cars, motorcycles, machinery, and real estate, replacing the previous fragmented model that required searching individual regional websites.
The Ministry of Finance confirms that 366 tax offices across Poland will feed their offers into this centralized system, providing users with a single search engine to filter items by location, category, and price.
Key Dates and Digital Auction Mechanics
While the portal launched on July 1, 2026, the first electronic auctions are scheduled for July 21. From July 31, users will also gain access to direct sales, a “buy-it-now” feature modeled after commercial e-commerce platforms, allowing for immediate purchases without waiting for traditional auction cycles.
User Registration and Electronic Payments
Browsing listings remains possible without an account, but participation in auctions or direct purchases requires registration via login.gov.pl, supporting the Trusted Profile, e-ID, or electronic banking. The system facilitates cashless payments for security deposits and final settlements, effectively removing the need for physical travel to tax offices.
Broad Range of Seized Assets
The platform covers more than just used vehicles. Listings include commercial and passenger cars, agricultural and construction machinery, household appliances, electronics, jewelry, and real estate such as apartments and warehouse halls. This digital shift is designed to improve transparency and reduce the risk of collusion by traditional local bidders.
Evaluating Risks in Auction Purchases
Despite the potential for lower pricing, experts warn that these purchases are not without risk. Buyers must carefully review technical descriptions and documentation, as tax offices sell items in their current state and do not provide the same service standards as commercial dealers or private sellers.
