Teenagers Struck by Ride-Hailing Driver Under Influence of Narcotics

Two teenagers were hospitalized after being hit by a ride-hailing Toyota driver while riding an electric scooter across a pedestrian crossing in Ożarów Mazowiecki on Wednesday, July 1.

Collision at Poznańska Street

The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on July 1 at Poznańska Street 264 in Ożarów Mazowiecki. Two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were traveling together on a single electric scooter when they were struck by a car while crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

Emergency Response and Medical Condition

Emergency services, including the fire brigade, medical rescue teams, and police, responded to the scene. The victims, who were not wearing protective helmets, were transported to a hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Driver Under Influence of Narcotics

While the Toyota driver tested negative for alcohol, a preliminary drug screening indicated the presence of narcotics in his system. Consequently, a blood sample was collected for further laboratory analysis to confirm the presence of prohibited substances.

Legal Consequences and Investigation
