Accusations of European Non-Support
Trump criticized European nations for failing to support the U.S. during the conflict with Iran. He claimed that he requested support from European allies primarily to test their reactions, asserting that leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, were unsupportive. He also specifically cited Italy and Germany as countries that provided no assistance.
Strategic Re-evaluation of Defense
Addressing the potential for withholding aid, Trump remarked that it is “stupid” for allies to deny support to the U.S. He suggested that the U.S. could adopt a similar stance of non-intervention.
