TV Republika Vehicle Overturns in Warsaw Collision Involving Lawmaker

A vehicle belonging to TV Republika flipped onto its side after a multi-car collision at Warsaw’s Rondo Dmowskiego on Friday, June 19, involving a PiS lawmaker and a German embassy car.

The incident occurred in central Warsaw at the intersection of Marszałkowska and Aleje Jerozolimskie. The TV Republika vehicle, a Forthing, was involved in a crash with a Mazda belonging to the German embassy and a Peugeot. The force of the impact caused the station’s car to roll onto its side.

Driver Cited by Authorities

Authorities determined the driver of the TV Republika vehicle was at fault for the incident. The driver was issued a fine of 2,500 PLN and received 10 penalty points on their license. Specific details regarding the precise sequence of the collision remain undisclosed.

Lawmaker Attends Voting Before Hospital Visit

PiS MP Norbert Kaczmarczyk, who was in the vehicle with journalist Sławomir Jastrzäbowski, confirmed he proceeded to the Sejm to vote immediately following the crash. He later sought medical evaluation at the MSWiA hospital on Wołoska Street after being urged to do so by parliamentary colleagues. Both the lawmaker and the journalist reported no serious injuries.

The collision took place at Rondo Dmowskiego, one of the most congested traffic hubs in the capital. The location serves as a primary intersection for major road arteries, tram lines, and high pedestrian traffic, leading to significant disruption in the area.
