The Attempted Fraud
Officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Warsaw III District Police intervened at a notary office in the Ochota district. A 43-year-old man attempted to obtain a loan by presenting a forged notarial deed intended to mislead the lender into an unfavorable financial disposition.
Police Intervention and Charges
The man was accompanied by a 28-year-old woman during the attempt. Thanks to the swift response of law enforcement, the transaction was halted before any funds were transferred. Both suspects were taken into custody for processing.
Legal Consequences
Following the collection of evidence, the 43-year-old suspect was charged with attempted fraud using a forged document. The 28-year-old woman faces charges of aiding and abetting the attempted crime. The Warsaw Ochota District Prosecutor’s Office is currently supervising the investigation.
