The incident occurred before 3:00 PM on national road 60 in Mokrzk, Płock County. Preliminary police findings suggest that a 24-year-old BMW driver and a 35-year-old Peugeot driver both attempted to overtake a line of vehicles simultaneously, leading to a collision.

The impact forced the Peugeot off the road and into a tree. Emergency crews, including firefighters, police, and an air ambulance, arrived at the scene. Firefighters used hydraulic tools to extract three trapped occupants from the wreckage.
