Unlicensed Surron Rider Bypasses Blockades in Nieporęt Chase

Police officers from the Legionowo traffic department, following a dynamic action and the use of physical force, subdued a 19-year-old who was fleeing on a Surron electric motorcycle. As it turned out, the man was riding a vehicle not approved for traffic, without the required third-party liability insurance, and will now face court for his extremely irresponsible behavior.

On July 18, 2026, around 4:45 PM in Nieporęt on Aleje Wojska Polskiego, officers from the Traffic Department of the District Police Headquarters in Legionowo attempted to stop the rider of a Surron electric motorcycle for inspection. The man ignored the light and sound signals issued by the officers and continued driving toward Radzymin. The officers immediately initiated a pursuit and, overtaking the vehicle, blocked its further path. At the moment the officers stepped out of the patrol car, the driver veered into the oncoming lane, bypassed the blockade, and continued his escape. Another successful attempt to block the road took place just before the intersection with Szkolna Street. There, the man was forced to stop the vehicle and was subsequently subdued by officers using physical force and handcuffs.

Arrest and Legal Consequences for the 19-Year-Old

The detained individual turned out to be a 19-year-old resident of Warsaw. An on-site test using an Alcoblow device showed that the man was sober. During further verification procedures in police IT systems, it was established that the detainee did not possess any driving licenses. Additionally, he was operating a vehicle not approved for public roads and without the required third-party liability insurance. The electric two-wheeler was secured, and the subdued man was placed in the Detention Quarters in Legionowo. For the committed offense of failing to stop for a police inspection and numerous traffic violations, the man will now answer before a court.
