Unofficial Reports: Paweł Kukiz to Join Rozwój Plus After Recovery

Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed that the Rozwój Plus association will transform into a political party by October 15, with sources indicating that MP Paweł Kukiz will join its ranks once he recovers from his injuries.

Morawiecki Confirms Party Transformation Date

Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed in an interview on the YouTube channel “Rymanowski Live” that Rozwój Plus will transform into a party no later than October 15. The former prime minister wrote on X that the association’s convention will take place on that day to demonstrate that Poland is not condemned to chaos and mediocrity, and that a prepared force is ready to take responsibility for the country.

New Parliamentary Club and Party Discipline

Politicians associated with Rozwój Plus have already established a separate parliamentary club consisting of 40 deputies, one senator, and three Members of the European Parliament. Party discipline spokesman Karol Karski stated on Monday, August 3, that the membership in PiS of the 40 individuals who formed the new club is currently dead and their cases will be reviewed individually, as their continued membership in Law and Justice cannot be maintained.

Paweł Kukiz Set to Join After Recovery

Sources cited by “Newsweek” indicate that Paweł Kukiz, currently a member of the Direct Democracy parliamentary circle, will become Morawiecki’s new acquisition and will join the ranks of Rozwój Plus as soon as he recovers. The politician previously reported having a broken hand, ribs, and transverse spine processes. In 2019, his political circle ran from the PSL-Koalicja Polska lists, and in 2023, Kukiz appeared on the Law and Justice lists without joining the party, later belonging to the Free Republicans circle and supporting Karol Nawrocki in the presidential election.

Demography, Migration, and Inaugural Event

The first event gathering members and sympathizers of Rozwój Plus took place on Friday, July 31, in Mała Warszawa, where Morawiecki presented his postulates and expert reports addressing Polish demography and migration management. He warned during the event that incoming migrants are not the solution to demographic problems, but rather part of modern reality that requires a competitive economy and industry to build a strong army and families.
