Polish police have apprehended a 35-year-old Vietnamese national in Warsaw who was sought by German authorities for the murder of a 20-year-old woman in the town of Greiz.
Arrest Operation in Warsaw
Officers from the Department of Criminal Terror and Homicide located the suspect at a building on Al. Krakowska. The operation was made possible through coordination between the International Police Cooperation Bureau and the Warsaw Metropolitan Police’s Search and Identification Division.
Investigation in Germany
The suspect was wanted by German police for the murder of a 20-year-old Vietnamese woman discovered last Tuesday. Her body was found in an apartment on Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße in Greiz, Thuringia.
Extradition Proceedings
The Warsaw Regional Court has ordered a seven-day temporary arrest for the 35-year-old. This measure remains in place while authorities in Thuringia finalize documentation for his upcoming extradition to face trial in Germany.
