Poland Weather Outlook: Rain, Fog, and Possible Winter Snow on Christmas

Poland’s forecast foresees rainy and foggy conditions this weekend, mild early‑week temperatures, and a chance of light snowfall on Christmas Eve, but remains uncertain.

Weekend: Rain, Fog, and Limited Clearings

Saturday will bring scattered rainfall to the northern part, while the rest of the country expects dense fog and heavy cloud cover.

Sunday’s chances of precipitation are low, mainly in the east, and clear skies are only possible over the Southern mountains, including the Sudetes and Carpathians.

Early Week Forecast: Foggy and Cloudy

Fog will dominate most regions, with cloud cover remaining pervasive across the country.

Monday & Tuesday: Mild Temperatures

Monday’s temperatures will hover between 3–8 °C in the south and 2–4 °C elsewhere, with evenings and early mornings subject to local fog.

Tuesday will be slightly cooler, with the south around 2–5 °C and the rest of the country 0–3 °C.

Wednesday: Upcoming Weather Change

Numerical models suggest a potential shift in the weather pattern from Wednesday onward, affecting several regions.

Possible Winter Christmas: Snow Expected on 23‑24 Dec

First snowfalls are projected for the night of 23‑24 December, with light accumulations of 2–3 cm nationwide and 5–10 cm in foothill areas.

Temperatures between -2 °C and -6 °C are likely overnight during the holidays, creating a more autumnal and gloomy atmosphere.

Uncertain Forecasts Ahead

Forecasters advise treating these predictions with caution, as a few days remain before the Christmas celebrations.
