Police in Poland are investigating a double murder in Kadłub after a shocking video showing a 17-year-old attacker circulated online.
Police Appeal for Privacy
We are appealing to the public to refrain from publishing and sharing graphic photos and recordings from the crime scene. In light of this tragedy, the family of the deceased 92-year-old woman and 38-year-old man deserves to have their privacy respected. No one would want to find themselves in a similar situation and see the death or suffering of a loved one on the internet. Respect for the deceased in today’s crime and their loved ones is more important than any reach or likes,” stated the Strzelce Opolskie District Police on social media.

This is a reaction to a recording circulating online. On the video, most likely recorded by the detained 17-year-old, you can see how the boy practiced strikes with a sickle, then attacked the 92-year-old great-grandmother and 38-year-old stepfather.

Online Material Led Police to Crime Scene
The material published online led police officers to a house in the village of Kadłub, where the bodies of a woman and a man were found. “Police officers from the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime were the first to receive information about the committed crime and quickly determined exactly where the offense took place,” confirm officials.
Detention of Suspect
The building was locked, forcing police to break down the doors. The 17-year-old was not at the scene. He was detained on Thursday around 1 PM in the Krapkowice district, hiding in bushes. He did not resist. An interrogation of the 17-year-old is scheduled for Friday.
