Three men arrested at a hotel

The Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office reported that Andrzej Z., nicknamed “Słowik”, Michał D., “Pieprzu”, and Krzysztof C., “Cycek”, were detained on Monday while money was being transferred to them by a victim in a city hotel. The men faced charges of attempting a robbery totalling 100,000 zlotys. All denied wrongdoing and refused to provide explanations. The courtów imposed a three‑month pre‑trial detention.

Police claim “alleged debt” harassment

The Capital Police Headquarters said a Warsaw entrepreneur was threatened by men demanding repayment of an alleged debt owed by the victim’s business partner. The arrested men, aged 56‑65 with extensive criminal histories, are described as former key figures in Warsaw‑area criminal gangs.

‘Słowik’ back in custody after months

“Słowik” had previously served time this year for a separate case. In November 2022 he was among those detained in a probe into drug‑and‑crime gangs that trafficked 35 kg of cocaine, valued at about 5 million zlotys. Prosecutors say he was actively involved. Proceedings began in January at the Warsaw District Court.
