Police Stop Cyclist Riding on S-8 Expressway

Police in Wyszków safely removed a 33-year-old man from the S-8 expressway on May 24 after a concerned motorist reported a cyclist traveling along the high-speed route.

Immediate Intervention Prevented Tragedy

Traffic police responded quickly to reports of a cyclist on the S-8 expressway. The 33-year-old man was located near Niegów and safely escorted off the road by officers who recognized the immediate danger posed by vehicles traveling at speeds of up to 120 km/h.

Illegal Use of High-Speed Roads

Authorities reminded the public that bicycles are strictly prohibited on expressways and motorways, regardless of whether the rider stays on the shoulder or the emergency lane. Police emphasized that such decisions pose a lethal risk to both the cyclist and other drivers on the road.
