In a United Surveys poll released October 24–26, 2023, Polish voters chose Mateusz Morawiecki over Czarnek and former president Duda as the best PiS candidate for prime minister in the 2027 parliamentary elections.
Morawiecki Tops PiS Prime Minister Poll
In a United Surveys poll for Wp.pl, respondents were asked which PiS politician would make the best prime minister in the 2027 parliamentary elections. Mateusz Morawiecki led with 22.7%, followed by Przemysław Czarnek (16%) and former president Andrzej Duda (8.8%). The remaining candidates received much lower percentages: Beata Szydło (3.3%), Mariusz Błaszkak (1.8%), Joachim Brudziński (0.9%) and Elżbieta Witek (0.2%). Sixty‑seven point two percent had no opinion, and nineteen point one percent preferred a different candidate.
Views on Tusk and Morawiecki Governments
A CBOS survey released late October found that Donald Tusk’s government was viewed positively by 31% of respondents, negatively by 45%, with 20% neutral and 3% undecided. In a September 2023 survey, one month before the parliamentary elections, Mateusz Morawiecki’s government was rated positively by 32%, opposed by 45%, and neutral by 23%.
Opinia24 Forecast: No Party Can Govern Alone
According to a survey released last week by Opinia24, if parliamentary elections were held in November, the Civic Coalition would secure 33% support, Law and Justice 27.4%, Confederation 12.6%, the New Left 6.3% and Polish Crown Confederation 5.9%. Political scientist Dr. Maciej Onasz estimated that the Civic Coalition would win 194 seats, PiS 172, Confederation 65, New Left 19 and Polish Crown Confederation 10, indicating that neither PiS nor the Civic Coalition could form a government without a coalition partner.
