Injuries

The city’s social‑media accounts reported one seriously wounded conductor and 34 lightly wounded passengers. Police are still gathering all information. A press officer from the Kraków City Police Command is on the scene, and rescue operations are being carried out by the Polish State Fire Service (PSP) with seven ambulance units.

Traffic Disruptions

Significant traffic disruption has been reported in the area, potentially affecting other parts of the city. Tram lines 1, 5, 9, 14, and 52 are running temporary detours. The trams that collided were on lines 5 and 52; the line 52 tram was stopped before the Kocmyrzowski roundabout when it struck the line 5 tram. MPK Kraków spokesperson Marek Gancarczyk told TVN24 that the cause of the collision remains unknown.
