Protest Outside Prosecutor’s Office
On Tuesday, February 17, Grzegorz Braun appeared at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław for questioning regarding his forcible entry into Oleśnica hospital and violation of Dr. Gizela Jagielska’s bodily integrity. The intended questioning of the Oleśnica hospital doctor was halted as the prosecutor could not ask questions.
According to “Gazeta Wyborcza,” supporters greeted Braun outside the building. The Confederation of the Polish Crown expected 30 people, but fewer attended. Two brought fire extinguishers, becoming Braun’s symbol after the 2023 scandal when he extinguished a Hanukkah menorah.

A poster was placed outside the prosecutor’s office depicting a late-term, bloodied fetus with the text: “Politicians decide, aborters murder. Stop the killing of the defenseless.” Braun himself stated, “the murderer is at large,” likely referring to the doctor who performed a legal procedure due to her patient’s health risk.
Gathered chants included claims that abortion involves “ripping out and sucking out a child with a container attached to a machine like a vacuum cleaner.” Braun told a journalist: “I wish that when you need it most, the face leaning over you isn’t Dr. Gizela Jagielska’s, but someone who wants to save you, not kill you.”
Braun’s Refusal to Testify
Exiting the building, Braun stated: “No charges were presented against me, contrary to earlier media reports.” He claimed anti-abortion opponents are “harassed” by prosecutors and police in the Jagielska case, adding: “In my view, those performing abortions remain unpunished, while those who tried to publicize the case are pursued.”
