Skoda Trapped Between Two Warsaw Trams

A Skoda vehicle was squeezed between two trams on 11 Listopada Street in Warsaw’s Praga-Północ district this morning.

Collision Details

Two trams, lines 74 and 23, collided with a Skoda passenger car on 11 Listopada Street, just past the Żaba roundabout. Initial findings indicate that the operator of tram line 74 ran into the rear of the Skoda, pushing it under the stationary tram line 23.

Medical Response

One person was examined by a medical rescue team at the scene. However, hospitalization was not required.

Emergency Services Intervention

Two fire crews, paramedics, police, and Warsaw Tramway supervisors responded to the incident. Services operated in the tram tracks and roadway, securing the collision site and restoring traffic flow.

Traffic Disruption

Road and tram traffic towards Ratuszowa Street were completely blocked during operations. Drivers and public transport passengers experienced disruptions in this part of Praga-Północ.

Warsaw Transport Authority (WTP) Update

The WTP reported disruptions to lines 3, 4, 25, 212, and 169 due to the blocked passage near the intersection of 11 Listopada and Szwedzka streets. Delays and detours were possible.

Route Adjustments

Lines 3, 4, and 25 served the Rondo Żaba 07 > Starzyńskiego – 11 Listopada stop. Lines 169/212 > Dw. Wschodni (Kijowska)/pl. Hallera followed the route: Rondo Żaba, Starzyńskiego, Namysłowska / Ratuszowa.
