Słupsk Horror: DNA Confirms Severed Hand Belonged to Murder Victim

DNA tests have confirmed that a human hand found near a trash bin in Słupsk belonged to 31-year-old murder victim Mateusz D., as prosecutors detailed charges against a 19-year-old suspect.

DNA Test Results

On Wednesday, February 4, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Słupsk released new information regarding the human hand found on December 17 of last year near a garbage shelter. “In the case of the murder of Mateusz D., an expert opinion in the field of DNA testing was added to the case files, indicating that the left human hand found on December 17, 2025, at the garbage shelter on Moniuszki Street in Słupsk belonged to Mateusz D.,” the statement read.

The Murder of Mateusz D.

At the end of November, the family of Mateusz D. reported him missing. On December 1, 19-year-old Alan G. was detained in connection with the case. The man reportedly indicated to officers the location where the body was buried. That same day, a corpse was discovered in the Słupsk Park of Culture and Recreation belonging to 31-year-old Mateusz D.

“The autopsy performed on the man indicates that the cause of his death was multiple stab wounds to the heart area, while the dismemberment of the body occurred after the victim’s death,” Prosecutor Wnuk stated at the time, as quoted by “Zawsze Pomorze”.

Ransom Demand and False Leads

“It was established that Alan G. used the phone belonging to the already deceased Mateusz D. a few days later, from which he sent an SMS to his mother demanding a ransom of 100,000 PLN in exchange for his release,” the Słupsk prosecutor’s office reported.

Furthermore, the 19-year-old allegedly attempted to mislead law enforcement by filing a false police report about a robbery he claimed to be a victim of. According to his version, the perpetrator was to be Mateusz D.

Charges and Potential Sentence

“Alan G. has consequently been charged with three crimes: murder with particular cruelty and desecration of a human corpse, attempted robbery extortion, and false notification of a crime,” the statement reads. The 19-year-old is currently in custody and faces a penalty of up to life imprisonment.
