Spring Temperatures Arrive Unevenly Across Poland

A spring-like warmth will reach 18°C in parts of southern Poland on Tuesday, while rain is forecast for western regions.

Spring Weather Begins in Poland

A spring-like atmosphere is gradually settling over Poland, particularly noticeable for residents of the southern part of the country.

Temperatures in some areas of the south are expected to reach as high as 18 degrees Celsius. However, conditions will be less favorable in the west, with rainfall predicted.

Temperature Variations Across Regions

Residents of Lower Silesia and Lesser Poland will enjoy the highest temperatures in the country, reaching 17 or even 18 degrees Celsius.

Opole, Upper Silesia, and Subcarpathia will see around 16 degrees, while central and eastern Poland will experience temperatures around 15 degrees. Northern and western regions will generally be 13-14 degrees, with the Hel Peninsula being the coolest at 10 degrees.

Sunshine and Rainfall Forecast

More sunshine is expected in the east and southeast, with small to moderate cloud cover and no precipitation in Lublin and Subcarpathia.

However, rain is forecast for the west, Pomerania, and some central areas. In the afternoon, rain will also reach southern Upper Silesia and Lesser Poland. Strong and gusty winds are expected along the coast and in the north, while other regions will experience weaker, but still noticeable, winds.

Nighttime Conditions and Potential Hazards

The night of April 14th to 15th will bring rainfall across Poland, potentially leading to slippery road conditions.

Extensive and complete cloud cover will dominate, with precipitation mainly in the north, center, and west. Rainfall totals in the north could reach up to 10 mm, and rain mixed with snow is expected in the Tatra Mountains.

Cool Temperatures Overnight

Temperatures will drop to around 1 degree Celsius in Podhale and 2-3 degrees Celsius in the east. Most of the country will see temperatures between 7-9 degrees Celsius, which, combined with wet surfaces, could cause slippery roads, especially in the early morning. In some areas, temperatures may even fall to 1 degree Celsius, with the possibility of localized frost.
