During the Poland‑Netherlands match at the PGE Narodowy, a user on X posted a photo allegedly showing a pistol and a message “See you later, Karol” directed at the player.

Police Response

The capital police said they had immediately begun investigating after receiving information about the post; “the investigation remains ongoing.” They added the photo had previously been published in a different context on other platforms.

Racist Abuse at PGE Narodowy

During the same match, Polish fans threw racist slogans onto the field, forcing a three‑minute interruption. The Polish Football Association issued a statement condemning such behaviour and declaring it unacceptable.
