Three children of Rwandan diplomats hospitalized after serious collision involving three vehicles in Warsaw.
Accident Details
On Wednesday, March 11th, around 16:00, on Aleja Wilanowska between ulica Dominikańska and Dolinka Służewiecka heading towards Wilanów, a serious accident occurred involving three cars – a Volvo, Toyota, and Volkswagen. One of the vehicles was a car belonging to the Rwandan diplomatic corps.
Collision Sequence
According to preliminary findings, the Volvo driver was traveling from Puławska Street towards Dolinka Służewiecka. For reasons yet to be determined, he first hit a Toyota used for ridesharing services, pushing it onto the Volkswagen. The Volvo then also hit a road sign and a lamppost.
Injuries and Victims
Three children of diplomats were in the car belonging to the diplomatic corps of the Republic of Rwanda. All three were transported to the hospital.
The drivers of the Volkswagen and Toyota were not injured. The passenger of the rideshare car was also unharmed.
Emergency Response
Two medical rescue teams were at the scene. Later, four police units were also dispatched to the scene.
According to the information provided, this was related to the need to thoroughly investigate the circumstances of the accident involving a diplomatic vehicle.
Traffic Impact
The accident caused significant traffic disruptions towards Wilanów. Travel along Aleja Wilanowska was heavily restricted and took place partially on the left and partially on the right lane.
For an extended period, activities were conducted at the scene to determine the exact course of events.
