Three Children Hospitalized Following Collision on National Road 12

A 68-year-old Volvo driver failed to yield, causing a collision with a Renault on National Road 12 in Atalin, which resulted in three children being transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Collision Details and Casualties

The accident occurred in the Zwoleń district when a 68-year-old driver of a Volvo failed to yield to a 38-year-old driving a Renault. The force of the impact sent one of the vehicles into a roadside ditch.

The Renault was carrying five people, including three children aged 6, 9, and 14. All three children were taken to the hospital for medical examinations. There are no reports of serious injuries among the other individuals involved. Both drivers were tested and found to be sober.

Traffic Disruptions and Safety Warnings

During the emergency response, traffic on National Road 12 was restricted to alternating lanes; the road is now fully operational. Separately, a two-vehicle collision at the 414-kilometer mark of the S7 route in Grójec may also cause temporary road closures in the direction of Radom.

Police are urging drivers to exercise caution, noting that rain across the Masovian Voivodeship has created slippery road conditions. Motorists are advised to adjust their speed to prevailing weather conditions and adhere to traffic regulations.
