Trump Blasts Europe, Praises Poland, Calls It ‘Good Work’

On Dec. 8, former U.S. president Donald Trump, in a Politico interview, blasted European leaders, lauded Poland’s migration policies, and urged new elections in Ukraine.

Europe as a “Falling Nations” Group

Trump described Europe as “a group of falling nations run by weak people,” saying leaders were unsure of their direction.

Critique of European Migration Policy

He warned that European states could face a “civilizational doom” within 20 years if migration policies do not change, citing London and Paris as examples of cities struggling with arrivals from the Middle East and Africa.

The U.S. president suggested that without reforms, some nations would become “desperate to live.”

Praise for Hungary and Poland

Trump praised Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for “very good work” on immigration, stating the country does not let anyone into its own territory.

He added that Poland has also performed “very good work” in the same area.

Russia’s Negotiating Edge over Ukraine

Trump said he does not consider the role of European leaders in ending the war in Ukraine important, and highlighted Russia’s evident negotiating advantage over Ukraine.

Demand for New Ukrainian Elections

He pointed out that Ukraine has not held elections for a long time and that the recent U.S. peace plan was unreviewed by President Zelensky, urging the country to read it.

Trump warned that the situation there is no longer democratic, calling for fresh elections.
