During the media-open portion of the meeting, Prime Minister and KO leader Donald Tusk described the gathering as a “historic meeting,” marking a “moment of breakthrough” and “acceleration” – not only in Poland but globally.

Tusk stated that the world as it has been known for decades is “falling apart,” and some believe it no longer exists, citing “shocks, wars, a change in geopolitical paradigm, and conflicts raging in many parts of the world.”

Tusk emphasized the significant stakes involved, stating that this reality will shape both daily work and upcoming elections. He expressed a desire to seriously consider, without partisan rhetoric, what Poland must do to emerge stronger and safer from this global turning point.
