Police located the pair on Modlińska Street, noting they were traveling in a Lexus bearing Icelandic licence plates. The driver, 40, and the passenger, 46, claimed they had come to buy broken car keys for a business deal.
Search uncovers car‑theft tools and a stolen Toyota
The officers searched the vehicle and found various items used for vehicle theft. One device led to identification of a Toyota listed as stolen by the police in Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki.
Charges of aiding a burglary of a 250k‑zloty vehicle
Investigators charged both suspects with jointly assisting in the burglary and theft of the Toyota. The 40‑year‑old also faces a separate charge for lockpicking a Lexus.
Temporary three‑month detention pending trial
