A 34-year-old man was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase in Jachranka on May 2, 2026, to avoid detection while driving without a license.
The High-Speed Pursuit
On the night of May 2, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM, officers from the Serocko Police Station attempted to stop a Seat vehicle in Jachranka. The driver ignored light and sound signals, accelerating sharply toward Wyszków.
The driver traveled at high speeds, posing a real threat to road safety. During the pursuit, which covered several kilometers, the driver overtook another vehicle directly at an intersection.
Apprehension and Penalties
Police successfully blocked and detained the vehicle, identifying the driver as a 34-year-old resident of Wyszków county. A check of police systems revealed the man held no driving privileges, though a breathalyzer test confirmed he was sober.
The driver committed several offenses, including driving without a license and operating a vehicle that was technically unfit for the road. He was fined a total of 5,000 PLN, and the vehicle was handed over to a designated person. The case regarding the flight and failure to stop for a patrol will be settled in court.
