Warsaw House Fire Claims Two Parrots

A nighttime fire broke out at a house on Bielany in Warsaw around 1:20 AM, resulting in the deaths of two parrots.

Fire Breaks Out on Esiej Street

Around 1:20 AM, a fire erupted at a house on Esiej Street in the Bielany district of Warsaw, near the intersection with Rodziny Połanieckich Street.

The fire engulfed utility rooms, guest rooms, and a portion of the attic, producing thick smoke.

Evacuation and Fire Suppression

Four people and a dog evacuated the building safely. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading further.

Despite relatively swift control of the fire, extinguishing operations continued for an extended period, requiring firefighters to thoroughly douse the debris and check for hidden embers within the building’s structure.

No Human Injuries, Parrot Fatalities

All four occupants escaped the house unassisted. The dog was also evacuated.

Two parrots perished in the fire, having been located in one of the rooms.

Emergency Response

Seven fire crews, comprising 30 firefighters, responded to the scene. A city operational group was also dispatched.

Four police crews secured the area.

Cause Under Investigation

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and will be investigated.
