Warsaw Man Arrested with Nearly a Kilogram of Drugs, Sentenced to Three Months in Pretrial Detention

A 33-year-old Warsaw man was arrested after police discovered nearly a kilogram of drugs in his apartment during a dispute investigation.

Arrest Following Dispute Investigation

Police from Warsaw’s Wola district received a report about a dispute in one of the apartments. On-site, officers established that an argument occurred between a woman and her acquaintance, after which the woman ran out of the apartment.

When police went to check the apartment where the 33-year-old man was staying, he initially refused to open the door. However, officers observed from the balcony as the man threw a bag out the window, which turned out to contain nearly a kilogram of drugs.

Drug Seizure and Previous Criminal Record

After entering the apartment, police conducted a search and found additional cocaine, along with 40,000 Polish zloty and 4,000 euros in cash, electronic scales, and mobile phones, all of which were secured as evidence.

Database checks revealed the man had previous conflicts with the law, including convictions for participation in an organized criminal group and drug trafficking. He was currently wanted to serve a 100-day prison sentence.

Charges and Detention

Following an interrogation at the Regional Prosecutor’s Office Warsaw-Wola, the suspect was formally charged with possessing a significant amount of narcotic substances as a recidivist.

The court, at the prosecutor’s request, ordered the man to be held in pretrial detention for three months. The case proceedings are being supervised by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office Warsaw-Wola.
