Warsaw Police Quickly Arrest Robber at West Station

Police swiftly apprehended a 23-year-old Polish citizen who robbed a traveler at Warsaw West Station after attempting to solicit money from others.

A robbery occurred on a traveler in the hall of Warsaw West Station during the morning hours. The perpetrator had previously approached other individuals, attempting to extort money from them.

Police from the Railway Police Commissioner’s Office immediately responded to the report. The victim informed officers that the assailant threatened violence and stole his cash.

Suspect Apprehended

The robbery was captured by surveillance cameras. Analysis of the footage allowed police to identify the suspect, and his description was immediately relayed to patrols in the station area.

Thanks to quick, coordinated action, the suspect was located and arrested on platform number 7.

The arrested individual is a 23-year-old Polish citizen with a prior criminal record including offenses against life and health, such as assault, robbery, and threats.

Recovered Funds and Next Steps

Police recovered most of the stolen money; the suspect had already spent a portion on a train ticket to Łódź. Evidence is being compiled to request a temporary arrest warrant for the suspect.
