Warsaw Shooting Range Fire Leaves Four Dead, Two Injured

A fire erupted in a shooting range undergoing renovations in Warsaw’s Ursynów district, resulting in four fatalities and two injuries on Tuesday.

Firefighters Respond to Shooting Range Blaze

Firefighters received a report of a fire involving a van and the ground-floor shooting range. Upon arrival, they initiated firefighting efforts both outside and inside the building.

During the operation, four individuals were initially evacuated, followed by a fifth. As of approximately 5:00 PM, authorities confirmed four deaths and two injuries, according to Chief Fire Commander Artur Gonera of the Mazovian Voivodeship State Fire Service.

Building Under Renovation

The building is a mixed-use commercial and office structure, with the shooting range located on the ground floor and undergoing renovation by a contracting firm whose employees were present at the time.

Preliminary Investigation Points to Explosion

Initial findings suggest an explosion within the building, and the fire spread to a van parked outside after a door was opened, possibly by one of the victims. Authorities described the interior of the shooting range as “heavily burned.”
