Warsaw Woman Accused of Supplying Abortion Medication—Pregnancy Terminated

A Warsaw court case alleges a woman was directed to give abortion medication to her business partner, causing a miscarriage; another allegation links a 56‑year‑old employee to chemically spiking coworkers’ drinks.

Abortion Meds Alleged in Warsaw Partnership

Anna and Ewa ran a joint law office in Warsaw. In early spring, Ewa became pregnant, and her partner instructed her to procure abortion tablets online for her. After taking the pills, Ewa miscarried.

Case Re‑opens as Police Take Over

When Ewa became pregnant a second time, the partners again tried to compel her to provide abortion medication, this time using a camera in the office. Police investigated, followed by the prosecutor’s office. Prosecutors had already prepared charges against Anna, but she has denied guilt and may face months in detention.

Legal Action Against Anna?

The Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office has not released details of the investigation, and spokespersons said detectives would not disclose information on the case. Questions were directed to the office, but no information was shared.

Accusation of Chemical Poisoning in Workplace

Separately, 56‑year‑old Małgorzata W is charged with repeatedly pouring cleaning chemicals into cups used by a coworker, causing significant health problems. The victim began noticing altered taste and color of drinks in November 2024.

Health Deterioration and Symptoms

Following consumption, the victim experienced abdominal pain and shortness of breath. By December, she suffered mucosal and esophageal burns that made eating difficult, according to a prosecutor’s spokesperson.

Colleagues Initially Unaware

Other employees did not observe the same changes and failed to recognize the victim’s symptoms, leading her to suspect the drinks may not have been the sole cause of the illness.
