Current Tourist Fee Regulations
Today, municipalities can collect fees from tourists – either local or resort fees. However, this is subject to meeting specific criteria outlined in regulations, such as favorable climatic conditions.
Environmental Limitations
“Environmental criteria exclude many areas heavily burdened by tourist traffic, including large cities, from the possibility of collecting such a fee,” say Left MPs. For example, Kraków cannot collect fees from tourists.
