The woman had reportedly gone outside to look for dogs and did not return. The person reporting her disappearance was her son.
Discovery of Body
Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene. During the search, traces of blood were found in the snow. Further searching of the area revealed the body of an elderly woman in one of the snowdrifts. The corpse was hidden and covered with a wheelbarrow. The body had visible head injuries.
Arrest
In connection with the case, a 45-year-old man was taken into custody. It was unofficially determined that he may be the victim’s son. Police are handling the case under the supervision of a prosecutor.

“Yesterday at 21:27, a report about a missing 67-year-old woman from Sońsk Commune came to the Duty Officer at the Ciechanów Police Station. A police patrol was dispatched to the location. Officers found the woman’s body on the property. A doctor confirmed death. At the scene, officers were carrying out procedural activities under the supervision of a prosecutor. In connection with the incident, police detained a 45-year-old man, a resident of Ciechanów County,” informs Deputy Press Officer of the Ciechanów District Police Commander, Superintendent Bożena Kuklak.
