ZAW-FA Now Available in e-Tax Office, but Beware of Pitfalls

Starting February 10, taxpayers can electronically submit ZAW-FA forms to manage permissions for Poland’s national e-invoice system, but the process has significant barriers.

What is ZAW-FA?

ZAW-FA is a notification filed by taxpayers who are not individuals, particularly companies. It serves to grant, modify, or revoke permissions to use the National e-Invoice System (Krajowy System e-Faktur or KSeF).

Through this form, an entity designates a KSeF administrator, who is responsible for managing accesses and permissions within the system.

Recent Changes and Challenges

As of February 10, taxpayers can now submit the ZAW-FA(3) form electronically through the e-Tax Office.

While this represents a significant organizational convenience, the new functionality has revealed several important barriers that entrepreneurs often discover only when attempting to submit their applications.
