At the night of November 13‑14, police stopped an 18‑year‑old suspect in Milanówka, a suburb of Warsaw. He was arrested for a knife attack on a Lajk Taxi driver that took place on Zachodniej Street while a passenger sat in the rear seat.
Attack Description
The attacker reportedly struck the driver six times with a sharp tool to his back and abdomen, describing a “killing” assault. He left the vehicle with a bleeding, semi‑conscious driver and fled with two accomplices.
Taxi Owner’s Statement
Marek Omieciński, owner of Lajk Taxi, posted on Facebook confirming the incident. He stressed that the perpetrator had no relation to the driver and that the trip was automatically assigned. He shared a photo of the arrested youth.
Driver’s Response and Medical Care
After the attack, the driver used company equipment to alert his dispatcher. Emergency services and other drivers were called, and 112 was dialed. First aid was rendered on the scene and the driver was hospitalized, where his condition improved.
Perpetrator’s Conduct Post‑Arrest
Following his arrest, the 18‑year‑old allegedly approached the taxi owner in a vulgar manner, smiling after being released.
