On Monday, December 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced he had invited Polish statesman Karol Nawrocki to visit Ukraine. Zelensky also said he would be ready to travel to Poland if formally invited.
Polish Officials Advise Timing of Visit
Marcin Przydacz, head of the President’s Office for International Affairs, stated in October that if Zelensky wishes to meet Nawrocki he should travel to Warsaw. In early December, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said Zelensky could request a meeting at the Presidential Palace.
Zelensky Engages with US and European Leaders
On Saturday, December 6, Zelensky had a telephone discussion with US envoy Steve Witzkoff and Jared Kushner, and met in London with the UK Prime Minister, French President, and German Chancellor. That day a call was also scheduled with the European Council President and NATO Secretary‑General. In early December he will meet with Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome.
