On Thursday, December 18, around 6 p.m., police in the Ciupaga area near the Investigation Center in Białołęka conducted a thorough search for a man who had finished his sentence but whose stay status in Poland was being examined by the Border Guard. The check is a standard procedure, and if grounds exist, officers may initiate deportation proceedings.

In the area, dozens of police officers combed the district looking for the individual who had fled in an unknown direction. Sources indicate the incident began at the detention center, and after the Border Guard was alerted, the man decided to escape. Patrols from the Warsaw VI District Police Headquarters, prevention unit officers, and K‑9 working dogs were mobilized for the operation.
