Donald Tusk donated golden football boots to the WOŚP 2026 auction, promising a coffee meeting with the winning bidder.
Tusk’s Donation Details
Donald Tusk revealed he donated “brand new, unworn” golden football boots to the WOŚP auction. These were a gift from his friends, which he described as very precious to him. The former Polish Prime Minister stated he decided to auction them for the cause.
The auction for these boots has attracted 16 bidders so far, with the current bid standing at 20,500 złoty.
Exclusive Meeting with Tusk
The winner of the auction will not only get the boots but also have a unique opportunity to sit in a special chair and have coffee with Tusk. This is the same seat previously occupied by notable figures like former U.S. President Barack Obama, Prince Charles, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, and others.
Previous WOŚP Auction Success
In a previous year, Tusk auctioned a “Kashubian breakfast” served at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The meal included smoked fish, fried rolls, and pancakes, with Tusk joking about his hesitancy to pronounce some Kashubian words. This unique experience was auctioned for an impressive 500,500 złoty.
2026 WOŚP Final and Mission
The 34th finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place on January 25. The theme for this year is “Healthy tummies of our children,” focusing on supporting the diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases in young patients.
To date, WOŚP has collected nearly 2.6 billion złoty and purchased approximately 81,000 medical devices.
