Police in Mław County found a chilled newborn in a closet during a January 29 intervention at a home where a 25-year-old woman had just given birth.

The incident occurred on January 29. Police received a report about a woman in need of urgent medical help. A patrol arrived at the scene, followed shortly by emergency services.
“At the home was a 25-year-old resident of Mław County. (…) The doctor who provided assistance to the woman determined that the woman had given birth” – informs the Mław County Police Headquarters.
Newborn in the Closet
Officers heard, as reported, “soft whimpering.” A newborn was found in the closet. The mother and child were taken to the hospital.
The infant was slightly chilled, but its life was not in danger. An inspection of the home was conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor.
Three People Detained
During the intervention at the home, besides the 25-year-old, there were four other people. Three of them were detained and taken to the Mław County Police Headquarters. All were sober – informs the police.
According to the Gazeta.pl portal, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Mławie has launched an investigation into attempted infanticide. From our information, the detained individuals are the closest to the 25-year-old.
